I looked at Kristina P's blog and
thought she did a great job of showing how big and elaborate the interiors of
the churches were. When I think about this time period I'm completely amazed at
the vision of the builders and craftspeople. They have no electricity and
haven't yet discovered antibiotics, but they could create and decorate these
massive structures in such amazing ways.
Natalie shows the furniture found in
this Early Christian time period. It's elaborately carved and decorated. As
time has passed from the very first pieces of furniture made from stone or wood
until this time period you can see the styles becoming more refined and
craftsmen are becoming more skilled as they develop new techniques.
